About New City College

New City College is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the UK, with Ofsted Outstanding provision and campuses across East London and Essex that are deeply rooted in their communities. We are recognised as a leading force in the further education sector.

Across our campuses, young people aged 16–19, adults returning to study, apprentices and career-changers all have access to high-quality courses shaped around local and regional skills needs. Some campuses offer a broad curriculum, while others specialise — but all are focused on real progression and employment opportunities.

This website acts as our campaign hub, where we share the major awareness campaigns and advocacy work we do to champion Further Education, skills and opportunity.

Colleges Week 2026

Skills for all.

Colleges Week 2026 is a celebration of the achievements, ambition and diversity of our learners, championing the national theme Skills for All.

Throughout the week, we spotlight a different group of learners each day — from school leavers and apprentices to adult learners and higher education students — recognising the dedication, resilience and success that define our college community.

National Apprenticeship Week 2026

Earn. Learn. Succeed.

National Apprenticeship Week is a celebration of the skills, opportunities and success that apprenticeships create for people and employers across the country. At New City College, apprenticeships combine great jobs, real pay and relevant qualifications – helping learners build confident careers while supporting businesses to grow talent from within.

Stop the Cuts: Back Adult Learning

You can’t grow an economy while cutting the opportunity to power it.

Our campaign calls for urgent action to protect adult learning. Years of flat funding are limiting opportunities for learners, employers and communities. By championing real stories and the impact of adult education, we’re urging policymakers to invest in the skills Britain needs. #BackAdultLearning
